Both my older son and now 3 yo daughter have attended Kapo’s Cantonese school. It is a gentle and engaging way to introduce the language to a native-born child. Her classes are filled with games, crafts and stories that are relatable to a young person.

At first, with my son having speech delays, I was hesitant to enroll him into a language class, as he was already struggling with English. However, ever since his first day here, my son has been looking forward every week to his Cantonese class! My son loves their story time the most, and with some English translation when necessary, it helps their students comphrehend at different learning levels. Their age-approapriate program is structured around centre activities, circle time, story time, arts & craft and incorporate chinese celebrations into their weekly themes. As a teacher myself, I highly recommend as CUE Cantonese Immersion as they keep it fun and engaging. If you are looking for a Cantonese program, I will definitely recommend giving them a try!

Our 3 year old daughter is very shy and has never been in a classroom environment before so we were happy to know that there was a gradual entry option. I was thoroughly impressed with the program from Day 1 of attending the class with our daughter. Kapo is an amazing Cantonese instructor who is very kind, patient and engaging with kids as young as 3 years old. Our daughter had no prior knowledge of the Cantonese language before beginning lessons at CUE Cantonese Immersion, but very quickly learned how to sing full songs and was excited to share all the new words that she learned in class. It has increased her confidence in learning a new, unfamiliar language and she looks forward to the next class. Kapo’s program makes learning Cantonese fun and easy through singing songs, reading stories, encouraging participation/repetition of words with fun games, doing arts and crafts, and so much more. We are so happy with the results and how much our daughter has picked up in a short period of time and highly recommend this program to anyone considering Cantonese lessons for their kids.

Kapo and the other educators are kind, experienced and excellent with children. At home, my husband and I are able to teach my 4-year old daughter some basics but we feel the exposure to a native Cantonese speaker in a class setting is very beneficial. My daughter enjoys the classes and I look forward to receiving the take-home worksheets so that we can practice them at home. All communication with Kapo has been very timely and professional. The facility itself at CUE Cantonese is spacious and well-maintained. I would highly recommend CUE Cantonese to others.

My daughter turned 3 this year and I enrolled her because I want her to be exposed to more Cantonese. She really enjoys going to CUE and looks forward to Saturday every week. I think it's great that Kapo and the other teachers make learning Cantonese a fun experience!

Teacher Kapo is wonderful, kind, and encouraging. The classes are fun, engaging, and offer a variety of activities to suit different types of learners. It's hard to find cantonese classes and materials that are true to the language but not overly complicated/colloquial -- these classes are perfect. One of the best things I've done for my daughter -- I only wish we could continue as she gets older!

If I'm honest with myself, I haven't created the environment for my son to speak Cantonese at home. The CUE program was a great way to initiate. The structure of lessons, enthusiasm of the teachers, combined with activities, make it fun for my son to learn. Plus, the materials he brings home gives us an opportunity to practice. We've even integrated one of the books as part of our night time routine, and I've noticed he's less shy about his cultural roots.

I sat in the class and was impressed at how fun and easy they can make learning Cantonese. It's not the old fashioned way of learning Chinese which is heavily focused on reading/writing. And by combining play for the young children, they're comfortable and look forward to coming every week.

This is such a great program. My daughter is having lots of fun in the class. There is some focus on learning Chinese characters, but I really appreciate the focus on the speaking and listening aspects of Cantonese. I wish there could be longer classes! My daughter always looks forward to class and is always a little bit sad to be going home.

My son, 4.5 years old, started Cantonese classes at CUE during the winter session and he really enjoys this interactive play based class. They start with circle time to sing songs, do stretches, read books, followed by arts and craft, and end the class with writing traditional characters with worksheets to bring home. Kapo and the teachers encourage Cantonese for the kids in a respectful way by having them listen and repeat. It's a work in progress but at least now my son acknowledges when I speak some Cantonese with him!
